These evaluation metrics are what you want to learn about peripheral displays to determine if it is "good." These came out of interviews of peripheral displays designers and implementors.

A list of defining characterstics of outputs and a beginning of a categorization of peripheral displays in this space. These are what you measure to learn about the quantitative evaluation metrics above (qualitative metrics are affected by these properties, but not measured through them). These also help define peripheral displays with relation to other output.
